Nutpod Organic Cotton Baby Sleeping Bag by Womb To Grow

I (Saralee Sky) first designed these sleeping bags when my own children were babies. I fell in love with Guatemalan fabric when my friend, Karen, brought some back from a trip there in the 1970's. I started sewing all sorts of things with this fabric, including the sleeping bag I designed to fit in a wicker basket for my youngest son, Gabe. The outside of these bright and unique baby sleeping bags are hand made from 100% hand-woven Guatemalan cotton, bought for me by my friend, Katie, who lives part-time in Guatemala near Lake Atitlan in Panajachel. She buys the Guatemalan fabric for me at Fair Trade prices. I recently redesigned these sleeping bags to include 100% organic cotton batting and 100% organic unbleached cotton (jersey knit) fabric on the inside.

The Nutpod is hand sewn along the bottom and has three ties along the vertical edge to keep your baby comfy and warm. Fold the top edge over to expose the inside fabric and give your baby breathing room. The Nutpod is suitable for babies 0-6 months old. Great for swaddling babies; they won’t scooch out of their blankets while they sleep. You can machine wash the Nutpod in cold water with like colors and dry it using low temperatures.

This sleeping bag makes a wonderful and unique shower or birth gift. It is truly one of a kind!
