Hippie Healing Company

Nestled between the sea spray of the Pacific Ocean and the natural beauty of the rainforest, Pacific Beach, Washington is where Darcy and her sister, Sara, the creators of Hippie Healing Company, have been making their products. They pride themselves on using the highest quality, natural ingredients and offering products at affordable prices. They take great care in choosing packaging that is functional and recyclable (whenever possible) and they buy their raw materials from reputable sources.

Their goal is to be at peace with nature by making useful and natural products. They continue to strive toward perfection for their customers, themselves and the environment.

Their first and most popular product, Hippie Healing Salve, was formulated in 1999. They were looking for an all natural multi-purpose salve to take along on camping trips for minor cuts and scrapes. At that time there was very little on the market that met their needs, so into the kitchen they went.

Their first ingredient was and still is Comfrey. Comfrey has incredible healing capabilities and works wonders on many types of skin problems. Through endless hours of research, and some old fashioned trial and error, they came up with the perfect recipe.

In 2000, Darcy and Sara started sharing their formula with friends and family and received rave reviews. News traveled fast, and they began to hear what they call “Owie Stories” from all over the country. They started sending out Healing Salve samples and soon began to hear stories of miraculous recoveries from dry skin, eczema, rashes, insect bits, cuts scrapes and diaper rash! They had never considered the product for diaper rash, but since it worked, they made a small modification to it by adding Zinc Oxide (as a moisture barrier) and voila’ Baby Butt Paste was born.

In 2004 they began putting together several lines of products that they truly believed in. They personally tested each and every product. They feel that their products were worth sharing with the world and so in 2006 www.hippiehealing.com was launched.
