We had no idea just how wonder-full being grandparents could be. Both Jerry and I raised our kids far away from our own parents. As Baby Boomers, we experienced first hand the generation gap and the need to put distance between how we were raised and how we wanted to raise our own kids. But we missed the support of our parents, and our kids missed the unique, unconditional love that only a grandparent can give.

I was fortunate to be present at the birth of Crystal and her little brother, Jordan. We also take care of Crystal and Jordan a few times a week and Carson often, so you could say we are very involved and doting grandparents.

Crystal, Carson and Jordan help Babynut by testing - and sometimes modeling - our products. They are also the main inspiration for the site, reminding me just how important are the first three years of life. Now they are growing up and out of Babynut's purview. They are 7, 6 and 4. Still I look to them for inspiration and teaching. I am growing as a grandparent along with them.
